HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - The Cairn University men's tennis team competed in three matches over their Spring Break Trip in sunny Hilton Head Island this past week.
Cairn (1-5) fell 8-1 in their first match of the week against Western New England on Tuesday. Senior
Timothy Robinson Jr. (Cinnaminson, NJ / Cinnaminson) grabbed the lone victory of the day for Cairn, a 4-6, 6-3 (10-7) victory at No. 2 singles.
The Highlanders followed that up with a 7-2 defeat at the hands of Oswego State on Wednesday. Robinson Jr. nabbed his second singles victory of the week with a 6-4, 6-3 win in the No. 2 slot, while freshman
Daniel Stange earned his first collegiate victory with a 7-5, 7-5 triumph in the No. 6 slating. Cairn rounded out the weeks with a 9-0 defeat against Western Connecticut State on Thursday.
The Highlanders will return to the court on Tuesday, March 21 when they welcome non-conference foe Cabrini University to Langhorne for a 2 p.m. match at the McCurdy Facility.
