LANGHORNE, PA: On a cold and rainy Monday afternoon, the Highlanders invited the Mercer County Community College Vikings to Langhorne to face off in a mid-season scrimmage.
While the Highlanders battled valiantly in each of their six singles and three doubles matchups, they were simply outmatched by the Vikings. The lone Highlander victory belonged to senior
Sarah Jackson playing in the #5 singles matchup. Jackson dropped the first set 4-6 before fighting back for a 6-2 second set score. Jackson also took the tiebreaking set 10-5 to win her matchup.
The Highlanders' #3 doubles pair of
Lauren Griffith and
Abby Horning also played well, ultimately dropping their matchup 6-8.
Cairn next plays on Saturday, April 17th, when they welcome the Defenders of Clarks Summit University to Langhorne to face off in a CSAC contest at 12 PM.
