LANGHORNE, PA- The Highlanders hosted Bryn Athyn last night, doubling up on their win from earlier this season and defeating the Lions 59-55 in a tightly-contested CSAC matchup.
 
The Highlanders played steady basketball, getting huge contributions from nearly their entire squad on the way to the win. Cairn played stellar defense in the first half, holding the Lions to just 24 points and taking an 8 point lead into the break. Cairn held the lead for much of the second half but the Lions battled back and tied the game with 3:00 minutes left on the on the clock. Jana Goodman knocked down a huge three to put the Highlanders on top and a Dakota Hitchner layup and Victoria Stum free throw iced the contest to give Cairn the win, 59-55.
 
The Highlanders had a balanced attack tonight as 6 players scored above 8 points, led by Dakota Hitchner with 11 points.
