LANGHORNE, PA - The Highlanders welcomed the Falcons of Cedar Crest College to their home court Saturday afternoon for their Senior Day contest.
Before tip-off, the Highlanders honored the excellent careers of their seniors, Charlotte Allen and Tori Stum. Allen and Stum have both been key cogs in the Highlanders success for the entirety of their careers, providing consistent inside play and a rebounding burst whenever they were called upon. This season, Allen has played a consistent game with nearly 6 ppg and a .759 free throw percentage, while Stum led the Highlanders in rebounds with an average of 8.4 per game and boosted the Highlanders offense with an average of 7.8 points per game.
The Highlanders got off to a slow start, trailing the Falcons by a score of 10-19 after the first quarter, but bounced back in the second, led by Charlotte Allen and Dakota Hitchner with 8 points each. The Highlanders did their best to rally in the second half of the game, led by Hitchner with 9 points, but they were ultimately unable to overcome the commanding interior presence of the Falcons.
The Highlanders will host the Eagles of the College of Saint Elizabeth on Wednesday at 6:00 PM in another home matchup.
