ASTON, PA- The Highlanders continued their excellent start to the spring season with a 6-3 win over the Neumann Knights Monday night.
 
Cairn took two of the three available doubles points as Charlotte Allen and Kara Williams continued their incredible unbeaten streak. The duo dispatched their competition 8-5 for their fourth straight doubles win this season. The Highlanders battled in singles as well, Maya Neal took the mantle as the #1 losing an incredibly competitive match in the tiebreak in three sets. Fortunately, Lauren Griffith (6-3, 6-0) and Ellie Santos (6-2, 6-1) made short work in the #2 and #4 spots to keep the Highlanders ahead. Charlotte Allen dropped a close match as well (6-4, 4-6, 9-11), but Kara Williams and Joy Englehart closed out the Highlanders win with two singles points of their own.
 
Cairn improves to 3-1 in the spring and 3-2 overall after the win over Neumann. The Highlanders begin CSAC play Saturday afternoon when they travel to take on Cedar Crest College at 1:00 PM.
