ALLENTOWN, PA- The Highlanders, led by junior
Dakota Hitchner, fell short of a conference victory at Cedar Crest College Saturday afternoon with a 66-54 defeat to the Falcons in Allentown.

Hitchner started off hot for the Highlanders with a 4/4 showing from the line and 3/7 from the floor to keep the visitors in striking distance of their first win heading to halftime. The Highlanders looked to chip away at the Falcons halftime lead and did so multiple times with runs early and late in the second half. Their best run was with 1:47 remaining in the third quarter, as Tori Stum,
Melissa Good, and
Emily Minard all notched two free throws to bring Cedar Crest's lead to a manageable 51-42 heading into the final quarter. Cairn's starting five played great, notching 87% of the team's points, led by 19 from Hitchner, 13 from Good, and another double-double from Tori Stum with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

The Highlanders will look to get in the win column on Friday at Wesley College when they take on the Wolverines at 7:00 pm.
