IMMACULATA, PA- The Highlanders started off hot in Wednesday night's match up against the Mighty Macs, but a substantial third quarter shooting slump spelled the end of Cairn's chances.
 
Markie Watson started the scoring for the Highlanders with a three pointer, while Tori Stum and Dakota Hitchner chipped in with layups to give the Highlanders a 7-5 lead. Another layup and a jumper from Hitchner kept the Highlanders within three points, but Immaculata notched four straight points to end the quarter and take a 7 point lead. Cairn struggled shooting in the second quarter, but buckled down defensively and went into the break trailing by nine. Unfortunately for the Highlanders, the shooting struggles continued and Immaculata was able to decisively pull ahead and hand the Highlanders the loss.
 
Hitchner led the Highlanders with 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists, while Tori Stum notched 9 points and 5 rebounds. Cairn will have ten days off over Thanksgiving break before taking on Keystone at 1:00 PM on November 30^th.
