LANGHORNE, PA- The Highlanders battled hard in a CSAC match against Cedar Crest this afternoon. Cairn played an incredibly tightly-contested match, playing the Falcons nearly even in each set, but falling just short.

The first set saw the Highlanders take a huge lead thanks to an 11-3 run and excellent play from
Lyntia Gwess. The junior slammed four kills in the run to give Cairn a 19-14 lead. Unfortunately the Falcons came storming back, winning the set 25-23. The Highlanders trailed early in the second set, but fought back, leading 28-27 in a thrilling second set. Cedar Crest notched three straight points to take the set and defeat the Highlanders 30-28. The Highlanders came close once again in the third set but were unable to defeat the Falcons, falling in the CSAC match 3-0.

The Highlanders have a couple days to regroup before taking on Notre Dame (MD) Wednesday night in Maryland.
