BALTIMORE, MD- Coming off two straight wins, the Highlanders traveled to Notre Dame (MD) in search of their first CSAC victory of the season. The Highlanders led for nearly the entire contest, and dispatched the Gators by a final score of 76-64. 

The Highlanders started today's game much like their contest against Medgar Evers earlier this week, as Aigner Bookard opened up the scoring with two three pointers sandwiched around two Kendra Stum jumpers to vault Cairn to an 11-7 lead. Both teams filled it up in the first quarter and Cairn led 24-19, Payton Emerick made two straight three pointers to open the second quarter and Bookard added another to give the Highlanders a substantial lead of 32-19. Charlotte Camp's consistent free throw shooting and rebounding also contributed greatly to the Highlanders first half lead of 41-35. 

Both offenses ground to a halt early in the third quarter as only eight points were scored over the first five minutes. The Highlanders broke the deadlock when Camp and Bookard slashed to the rim, earning trips to the foul line, and another Emerick three sparked the Cairn attack heading into the fourth quarter. Kendra Stum took control in the fourth quarter and the Highlanders coasted to their third straight victory. 

Bookard finished with 17 points and 9 rebounds, Stum tallied 16, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals, and Payton Emerick had yet another double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

The Highlanders are back in action this Saturday as they travel to Centenary to take on the Centenary Cyclones at 12:00 PM.
