Phoenixville, PA - The Cairn Highlanders jumped off to a fast start in the 2017 season with a pair of 11-run victories over the Valley Forge Patriots on Thursday afternoon. Cairn took Game One 14-3 before topping the Patriots 17-6 in Game Two. The Highlanders jumped out to huge first innings in both games, plating 11 runs in the top of the first in both games before cruising to the victories.
 
With the two victories this afternoon, the Highlanders have already doubled their win total from last season and are currently on a three-game win-streak including their thrilling 11-10 victory over Rosemont in the season finale last season.
 
The Highlanders and Patriots will run it back tomorrow with a doubleheader at the Maplezone Sports Institute at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow afternoon.
