La Plume, PA - The Cairn women's tennis team rolled through the Keystone Giants on Saturday afternoon to take their CSAC finale 9-0. The win improves the Highlanders to 5-10 overall and they finish with a 3-7 record in the CSAC.
Cairn will finish their season with a home match on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.against the Brooklyn Bulldogs.
The Highlanders had to win only four matches to earned the sweep of the Giants. Keystone brought just three players to the match and as a result they had to forfeit three singles matches and two of the three doubles matches.
Rebecca Graber (No. 1),
Kara Williams (No. 2), and
Angela James (No. 3) cruised through their singles matches, dropping a total of four games between the three of them.
In doubles play, Graber and
Bianca Birney took out the duo of Devinne Scott and Rosa Morales with perfect 8-0 set.
As mentioned the Highlanders will wrap up their 2016 fall schedule on Thursday night when Brooklyn College comes to Langhorne.
On Thursday, the Cairn athletic department will be live streaming the number one singles and doubles match. It will be the first time the Highlanders have live streamed tennis in the program's history.
