Langhorne, PA – On a cool and damp Homecoming afternoon the Cairn women's tennis team defeated the Rosemont Ravens in a CSAC match by an 8-1 final. The Highlanders did not drop a single game in doubles play and had strong efforts across the boards to go 5-1 in the six singles matches.
 
Rebecca Graber and Angela James were perfect on the afternoon, winning every game in which they played. Both James and Graber won 8-0 in doubles play and 6-0, 6-0 in singles play for the Highlanders.

As mentioned the Highlanders rolled through doubles play by winning each match 8-0.

Including the clean sweeps from Graber and James, in singles play the Highlanders took a total of 50 of the 64 games contested between the Ravens and Highlanders.

Standout performances included Bianca Birney in the number three singles slot defeating Katie Pavlick 6-1, 6-1, while in the number five singles match Ricki White disposed of Anya Brooks 6-0, 6-1.

The only singles match that the Highlanders did not win was the number two slot where Kara Williams was forced to retire due to injury.

The win bumps the Highlanders to 4-5 overall and to 2-4 in the CSAC. Cairn will next take the court on Monday night when they host the Cedar Crest Falcons at 7:00 p.m. in a match that was postponed from Friday afternoon.
