Hackettstown, NJ – The Highlanders dropped their second CSAC game of the season on Tuesday evening after a 73-39 result against the Cyclones of Centenary College.
Aigner Bookard led the Highlanders with 17 total points and three steals.
Centenary outscored Cairn in each of the four quarters with the Highlanders' best effort coming in the fourth quarter with 16 points.
Amie Eppolito and
Payton Emerick each put up eight points for the Highlanders, while
Kristen Castner led the team in rebounding with 11.
Leading the game for the Cyclones was Ally Fugnitti with 15 points; she was followed by Melissa Rabe with 12. Rabe also pulled down nine rebounds for the Cyclones to lead the team in that category. Three other players for Centenary each had eight points; Alexis Wilson led the team with eight assists.
Overall this season, Bookard now has an average of 12.4 points per game and leads the team in assists (15) and steals (14).
Payton Emerick leads the team in rebounding with 8.2 boards a game.
With the loss, Cairn dropped to 1-8 overall this season and 1-2 in the conference. Centenary improved to 5-6 overall and 1-2 in the conference with the win. The Highlanders will continue their stretch of road games this week as they travel to Immaculata University on Jan. 7.
