Box Score BETHLEHAM, PA – The Cairn Highlanders hit the road Friday to travel up to Bethlehem, for a non-conference matchup with the Greyhounds.
Box ScoreMoravian was able to capitalize on Cairn miscues, which led to the 3-0 victory for the Greyhounds 25-7, 25-22, and 25-16. The turning point in set 1 came when Moravian was able to use a 12-0 run to put the Highlanders in a hole which they were not able to come back from.
Cairn battled back from the 18 point deficit in set one, battling point for point with Moravian, but unfortunately were edged out in the end and dropped set 2 25-22.
In the end, Moravian was too much for the Highlanders to handle as set 3 resulted the same way as the previous sets, giving the Greyhounds the win.
Kate Steger led Cairn with 7 kills, and Freshman
Sami Delfino was right there dishing out assists with a team high of 13.
Karianne Nilsen led the way defensively for the Highlanders contributing a team high 8 digs.
Cairn will travel back to the Mason Activity Center where they will host the Arcadia Knights Saturday morning at 11:00 am
