Penn State Abington Too Much for Women's Tennis

ABINGTON, PA – The Women's Tennis teams traveled to non-conference Penn State Abington Wednesday afternoon, and were defeated by a score of 8-1.
 
Abington took all three doubles matches to jump out to an early 3-0 lead heading into singles play. 

Looking to make up some ground in singles action, Cairn's Rebecca Graber, Sara Keating, and Lauren Shidel all took the first sets from their opponents before eventually falling in three sets.

Junior Britta Nelson took the lone win for the Highlanders defeating her opponent 6-4, 7-5 in the number 6 singles spot.

The Highlanders are back in action Friday evening as they will host Neumann University at the McNurdy Tennis Courts in Langhorne.  The match is slated to start at 6:00 pm.
