Box Score LANGHORNE, PA - The Men's Soccer team welcomed Neumann University to Langhorne Saturday afternoon for Homecoming and lost a heartbreaker 90 seconds into the first overtime period 3-2.

Neumann would be the first to strike early in the first half as two balls found the back of the net in the 14th and 16th minutes of play. ,he Highlanders, determined to fight back on Homecoming, would find the back of the net in the 28th minute of play when Ahron Park took a ball from Connor Eby and blasted a shot past the Knights goalkeeper. The Highlanders cut the lead in half, and went into the break down 2-1.

The second half the Highlanders were relentless as they continued to fire shots on the Neumann keeper. Finally in the 70th minute, Caleb Moore's hard work was rewarded, as he too took a pass from Eby and was able to tie the game at 2. Minutes before the final horn would sound, the Knights were able to beat Ivan Jasso for a third time, but the play would be called back due to the Knights being offside. At the end of 90 minutes the game remained tied at 2 and we were heading to overtime.

It only took Neumann a minute 26 seconds to end the game as a ball was crossed over the Highlanders defense, finding an open Knight who was able to put the game away off of a header.

Junior captain Andrew Gordon had this to say about the Saturday afternoon game. ,"It's always tough to lose, but we lost to a quality side. Went out, the boys fought like we haven't all season. I'm proud of them, proud of the way we came out. We are looking to build off of this, as a learning experience going forward. We're going to get some W's in the future coming up."

The Highlanders will look to end their current losing streak, as they will travel to Gwynedd Valley to take on the Griffins Tuesday afternoon.
