Women's Tennis Beats Rosemont 7-2 on Homecoming

LANGHORNE, PA - In the nightcap of Homecoming events, the Women's Tennis team defeated Rosemont College by a score of 7-2, earning their second consecutive conference win and now improve to 3-8 (3-4 CSAC).

The early evening match started with Cairn's first and third doubles taking two out of three games from Rosemont for an early 2-0 lead.  Graber and Livingston won 8-4, with Sarah Breyer and Britta Nelson winning 8-3.

Freshman Becca Graber continues her streak of six consecutive wins in the first singles spot as she defeated her counterpart 6-1, 6-3.  In third singles, Lauren Shidel was able to take match 6-2, 7-6 (8-6).  After recently been moved to the fourth singles spot, Britta Nelson is becoming comfortable in her new role as she has now won back to back games from the fourth spot, winning Saturday 6-4. 6-0.  Natalie Livingston continues her solid senior campaign picking up the win in the fifth singles spot 6-4, 6-3.  Senior Sarah Breyer was able to take her match in the sixth singles spot 6-0, 6-1.  

Natalie Livingston had this to say about the match.  "I think we played really well as a team today.  Our hard work is starting to pay, and it feels really great to pick up the win as a team."

The Highlanders will now hit the road on Tuesday as they will travel to New York to square off against Sarah Lawrence College in their final non-conference match of the season.
