Season and Conference Stats

Langhorne, PA - The Mighty Macs of Immaculata University proved to be too strong for the Highlanders out on the McCurdy Tennis Courts on Friday afternoon with an 8-1 final score. The match ended with Rebecca Graber collecting the lone Highlander point in her singles match against Lauren Degnan. 

In doubles play, Graber and Natalie Livingston fought back from a 6-3 deficit to get a break and bring the match to 6-5. The Mighty Macs won out the set from there with a break of their own and the Highlanders were forced to enter the singles matches down 3-0.
 
In the No. 4 spot of the singles, Britta Nelson fought back from a 6-1 loss in her first set to win four games in the second set. Ultimately, the Mighty Macs had too much behind their rackets for the Highlanders to contend with.
 
The win for Graber came against a tough No. 1 for Immaculata who had a powerful backhand shot and long reach. In the end, Graber committed fewer errors and was able to place the ball better on the court. The singles win is now the sixth in a row for the first-year student.
 
The loss moves the Highlanders to 3-10 overall this year, while the Mighty Macs improve to 10-4 on the season. Cairn will next take on Marywood University in one week's time at 6 p.m.
