Box Score 2 Lancaster, PA - Cairn University's women's volleyball team made short work of Lancaster Bible College and Valley Forge Christian College on Thursday afternoon, sweeping both opponents 3-0 in tri-match play.

In the day's opening match, the Lady Highlanders clashed with the Charges of Lancater Bible College.
Junior outside-hitter
Brigid Shehan led the charge on offense with a game-high 10 kills. As always,
Erin Greenwood was pulling the strings in attack, setting up 31 kills.
In was on defense that the Crimson seemed to frustrate their host. Four different players tallied 10 or more digs, holding a 55-37 advantage over LBC. Shehan had a game-high 14 digs, while
Ashleigh Colomina,
Abbie Keating, and Greenwood each recorded 10.
With their strong defense and efficient attacking play, .326, the Highlanders took down the Chargers 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-7).
The ladies continued to roll in the days second match against Valley Forge Christian. The Highlanders took the first set 25-9, before 25-12 and 25-11 wins.
With their two 3-0 sweeps on Thursday, Cairn locked up the top-seed and home-court advantage for the NCCAA East Regional Tournament held on October 26. The ladies have swept all three East Region opponents 3-0.
Women's volleyball is now 11-4 on the season.
They return to their CSAC schedule this Saturday when they travel to Cabrini College. The Cavaliers clipped the Highlanders 3-1 last year.
