Results
Results started going the wrong way for the Highlanders early on in doubles play.Â
Lauren Shidel andÂ
Sara Keating were able to earn an 8-3 win for Cairn, but the Highlanders fell behind 2-1 after losing the other two pairings.
Needing the rally in singles play, Keating was once again on the winning end of things, winning the sixth spot 6-3, 6-3. Unfortunately for the ladies, she was the only one.Â
Liana Jensen pushed her opponent, Kristy Evans, falling 6-1, 7-5.
The loss drops Cairn to a disappointing 1-8, 0-5 CSAC.Â
With five more fixtures scheduled, the young Highlanders still have plenty of time to improve as a team.
Next up for the Crimson, the ladies will make the trip up to Allentown, PA where they will see a Cedar Crest team that is currently 3-5, but coming off of a 9-0 defeat at the hands of Neumann University. Last season's fixture ended with a 6-3 decision in Cedar Crests' favor.Â
