Box Score Glenside, PA - The Lady Highlanders have started their 2013 season off in style, taking nine out of ten sets played, and improving to 3-0 on the season. On Saturday, the Highlanders played their third straight Middle Atlantic Conference opponent, triumphing over the Knights of Arcadia 3-0.

Cairn handed the host a 25-16 loss in the opening set, before the Knights put up a better fight in the second set. The second stanza almost went extra points before the Highlanders were able to withstand the pressure from Arcadia and take a two-nil lead into the third set.

In the third set, the Highlanders proved too much for the Knights and with all the momentum on their side, the ladies closed things out convincingly 25-8.

The win gives Cairn a perfect 3-0 record to start the 2013 campaign and also sees them go perfect against MAC opponents in the early stages of the season.

The Crimson have a full week to rest before they put their perfect record on the line against yet another MAC opponent in Messiah College. Both teams are undefeated, but Messiah has a conferene match against Lycoming before they travel to Langhorne. The last time these two teams met, the Falcons came away 3-1 winners back in 2010.
