Cavaliers Overwhelm Highlanders; Shehan Nets Career-High

Box Score Langhorne, PA - Second year player Brigid Shehan netted 12 points in a losing effort for the Cairn women's basketball team to conference foe Cabrini College, 92-43.

The visitors jumped out to an early 16-2 lead, taking control of proceedings from the beginning and never looked back. Cabrini had built a 32-point lead by the time the end of the first half came to a close, 52-20.

With the result all but decided, the Cavaliers strolled in the second half, claiming a 92-43 conference victory. The win improved the Cavaliers to 3-0 in conference play.

Freshman Elizabeth Joy Hartzler led the Highlanders with 13 points. Shehan's 12 points were a career-high for the three-sport athlete, while point guard Amie Eppolito knocked down 10 points. Emily Tambussi and Regina Younger combined for 8 points and 9 rebounds.

Cabrini had three different players finish with a game-high 14 points.

Cairn is now 0-6 overall, 0-3 in league play.

The ladies are now off until next semester and will be looking to add some much needed additions to their squad.
