Langhorne, PA - The women's tennis team were swept in both singles and doubles play against conference foe Cabrini College, suffering their second loss of the weekend.

On Saturday, the Cavaliers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after cruising in all three doubles matchups. Cairn's Sara Keating and Lauren Shidel put up the stiffest competition, losing 8-2, but were outmatched on the day. 

The day continued in the same manner for the Lady Highlanders in singles play. Shidel took three games off of her opponent in the fifth spot, falling 6-2, 6-1. 

Natalie Livingston managed the same scoreline, but in the end Cairn was swept 9-0 on the day.

On the road on Friday, the Highlanders took on Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. 

The Falcons won all three doubles positions by a similar score of 8-0.

In singles play, Keating and Livingston pushed their opposites to three sets but couldn't overcome, as Cedar Crest completed the 9-0 sweep of Cairn.

The Highlanders are now winless in their first seven conference matches and 1-10 on the season. The women have three more matches remaining in 2013. Fortunately for the ladies, they will be hosting the only team they've beaten this season next, Baptist Bible College. They will have to wait almost two weeks though for that showdown as it is scheduled for October 18th. In the opening match of the season, Cairn was victorious over BBC 8-1.
