Langhorne, PA – Emily Mayer has a huge day as the Highlanders swept their way to a third-consecutive NCCAA East Region Championship.

Mayer tallied a game-high 11 kills in the opening 3-0 win over Valley Forge Christian in the semi-finals, before leading the Highlanders with nine kills in the championship match against Lancaster Bible.
Cairn made quick work of the Patriots, 25-17, 25-10, 25-12, to cruise into the final.
Behind Mayer's 11 kills, both Brigid Shehan and Rachel Johnson contributed seven kills each. Erin Greenwood collected 33 assists, while Ashleigh Colomina had a game-high 11 digs.
The Lady Highlander met Lancaster Bible College in the championship bout, after the Chargers outlasted the Defenders of Baptist Bible College, 3-2.
In the final, the Highlanders used a four-pronged attack with four different ladies finishing with seven or more kills in just the three set match.
As previously mentioned, senior Emily Mayer had a team-high 11 kills. Sophomore Nicole Spicer gathered eight kills, followed by Johnson and Shehan once again tallying seven kills each. Greenwood, likewise, nearly registered an identical number of assists from the first match, 32. Greenwood also had a game-high 15 digs, with Shehan contributing 13 herself on defense.
After taking the first set 25-19, Cairn gave themselves some breathing room in the second with a convincing 25-12 win. Needing just one more set to claim their 3rd straight regional final, the Highlanders prevailed 25-18.
The Highlanders are currently on a 10-game winning streak where they have only conceded one set loss.
On the season, Cairn is now 21-5 with two Colonial States Athletic Conference games remaining in their regular season.
