Aston, PA - The women's volleyball team of Cairn University fell one game away from their second ever CSAC championship appearance.
The Knights of Neumann University defeated the Highlanders in three sets (25-16, 25-21, 25-19).
In the opening set, Neumann held a slim 19-16 lead. But the No.1 seed Knights then went on a 6 point roll to take the set 25-16.

Neumann would close things up in the final set, 25-19, and a chance for a championship this Sunday. Neumann will face defending champs Cabrini in the final.
The season isn't over for the Highlanders. Cairn will make the trip to Kissimee, FL this week to compete in the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association championship.
Rachel Johnson led the Highlanders with an 8 kill performance.
Abbie Keating and
Emily Mayer each had 6 kills, but couldn't match Neumann's Natalie George and Katelin Kuklentz who each tallied 11 kills.
Cairn is now 22-12.
