Langhorne, Pa - Cairn University's women's volleyball team hosted Centenary College on Saturday afternoon in a battle of conference rivals.

The Highlanders useda 25-17 first set win to get things going early on, but the Cyclones responded with a 24-26 win in the second. At that point, Cairn took control of proceedings. In the third set, the Highlanders cruised to a 25-13 win and then finished things off in the fourth set 25-18.

Continuing her impressive season, sophomore Brigid Shehan led all players with 18 kills on the day. Erin Greenwood only had 3 kills but she did her damage in setting her teammates up with 47 assists. She also came up with 16 digs. Emily Mayer continues to be a force inside with 12 kills, adding to the Cairn attack.

Erika Chu had 11 kills to lead Centenary.

With the win, Cairn remains tied in fourth place with Marywood and Cedar Crest who also won on Saturday. All three teams are 5-3 in conference and trail Neumann, Cabrini, and Baptist Bible.

On Tuesday, the Highlanders will travel to Cedar Crest in a crucial CSAC contest that will have major playoff implications. The match is scheduled for 7pm.
