PBU Outpaced By Marywood

Box Score

LANGHORNE, PA
- In a Colonial States Athletic Conference North Division showdown, Marywood University got the better of the Crimson Eagles 44-80.

PBU's freshman guard Elyse Ceide (Hamilton, NJ / Steinert) scored a career-high 11 points to lead the Crimson Eagles. Ceide shot 4-for-9 from the field, including 3-for-5 from beyond the arc. The quick freshman also chimed in on the defensive end with 2 blocks and 2 steals. Her breakout game wasn't enough as the non-stop pressuring from the Pacers resulted in 26 turnovers.

The league leading Pacers had pretty much put the game out of reach by halftime, leading 45-21. The Crimson Eagles would close the gap a little over the remaining 20 minutes, but nothing in terms of a comeback. Marywood would go on to win 80-44.

Ashley Murray led the Pacers with 22 points. Allison Bruet and Mariah Schaeffer also reach double digits for Marywood.

The Crimson Eagles are now 4-9, 1-6. The Pacers improve to 11-3 and a perfect 6-0 in conference.

Next up, PBU will host Cedar Crest College this Saturday, January 14 at 2pm.
