CLARKS SUMMIT, PA - PBU's Women's Tennis team travelled up to Clarks Summit, Pa to take on the Defenders of BBC and returned home victorious.

The Crimson Eagles got off to a slow start, losing 2 of 3 doubles matches. They responded though with some serious singles play, winning all but one singles match.

Senior Katelynn Wilson defeated BBC's Kellie Bernard in their singles match, after Bernard and Julie Herr won their doubles match against Wilson and Leigha Motta. Motta also responded to the doubles loss with a 6-1, 5-7, 10-6 singles win.

The final score finished PBU 6 - BBC 3.

The tennis team's next match is Friday, Sept. 9th when they take on Colonial States Athletic Conference foe Gwynedd-Mercy. Gwynedd-Mercy was predicted to finish 1st in the CSAC Pre-Season Coaches poll.
