RADNOR, PA - Women's Volleyball drops contest to Cabrini College.
Cabrini's junior tandem Danielle Carrozza and Megan Ryan were unstoppable as they combined for 27 of the Cavaliers 41 kills.
After competing with Cabrini all the way in the first set, the Crimson Eagles were unable to keep up the pace. Cabrini took the first set 27-25 and then used the play of Carrozza and Ryan to keep the momentum rolling. The Cavaliers then rolled to 2nd and 3rd set wins with 25-15 and 25-16 scores.
The Crimson Eagles put together a quality first set, finishing with 13 kills and a .387 attack percentage, with only 1 attack error. Cabrini had a total of 35 attacks in the first set, 4 more than PBU, but made 7 attack errors.
The Cavaliers cleaned up their attack after the first set, improving their attacking percentage from .114 in the 1st set to .520 and .344 in the 2nd and 3rd sets respectively. The Crimson Eagles attack dipped from .387 to .136 and .150.
The Crimson Eagles fall to 9-9 overall and 1-2 in the CSAC. Cabrini improves to 10-8, 3-0 in CSAC.
On Tuesday, September 27, PBU will host Immaculata University.
