LANGHORNE, PA - Women's tennis comfortably handle the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers-Camden.
PBU senior Katelynn Wilson did her part in helping the Crimson Eagles to a 7-2 victory, by winning both her matches. She defeated Reveena Suda 6-0, 6-1 in her singles match. But earlier in the day, Wilson teamed up with Leigha Motta to take down their challengers Reveena Suda and Theresa Adamson, in a doubles match. They won 8-2.
Wilson wasn't the only player to win both her singles and double matches. Doubles partner Leigha Motta and Dana Hartman also took care of business in both matches played.
In her singles match, Motta easily won her first set 6-0 before being made to earn the second 7-5. Hartman had an easy time of it winning 6-0, 6-1 in her singles match-up. On the double's side, she was paired with Meghan Whittington, and they came out 8-4 winners.
Despite losing her doubles match, Rebecca Hardman was also in on the winning, succeeding 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 against Casey Crenny.
Junior Tara Munro won her singles play 6-0, 6-0.
The Crimson Eagles now improve to 3-1 on the season.
The tennis team will return to CSAC play on Thursday, September 15th, when they take on Marywood University. The match starts at 3:30 and takes place in Scranton, Pa.
