ASTON, PA - Philadelphia Biblical University lost a close tie against Neumann University 4-5.

PBU's Hannah Maddox and Tara Munro won for the Crimson Eagles in the #5 and #6 spots in singles play, as did Leigha Motta in the #2 spot. In doubles play, Neumann took the first and second doubles, but PBU's Dana Hartman and Meghan Whittington won 8-2 in the third doubles spot.

With the score knotted at 4-4, a back-and-forth match-up between PBU's Lizz Stafford and Neumann's Teresa Kozin was the decider. The Knight's Kozin took the first set 6-2, only for PBU's Stafford to fight back and take the 2nd set 6-2 as well. In the only singles match to go three sets, this one would go to extra games where Kozin would win 7-6, giving Neumann the 5-4 victory over the Crimson Eagles.
