LANGHORNE, PA
- On Senior Day, Philadelphia Biblical University's Women's Volleyball team jumped out to a 1-0 lead on Neumann University but would lose out in the end 3-1 in a very tight match.

PBU paid tribute to their three seniors, Tricia Taylor, Rebekah Morrison, and Joy Bucknam in their final home match of 2011.

All three seniors impressed in their swan song, featuring heavily in all four sets. Tricia Taylor slammed home an impressive 10 kills, only to be out done by fellow senior Bucknam who notched 12.

In the first set, PBU would jump out to an early lead and never looked like giving it up. The Crimson Eagles jumped out to a 12-5 lead. After watching chip away at the lead, getting as close as 12-10, PBU turned it up again, increasing their lead to 17-10. A late rally by the Knights fell short as Erin Greenwood dashed any hopes of a late comeback win with the final point on one of her three kills on the evening . PBU took the first set 25-23.

The second set didn't quite finish how the Crimson Eagles had hoped. Neumann had moved out to a 6-1 lead only to see PBU tie it at 8-8. From there the two sides would remain within 2 points all the way up to 20-20. There's when Neumann turned it up, taking 5 of the final 6 points to win the 2nd set 25-21.

To the third set they went, where the Knights senior Natalie George began to take over the show. George would finish with 22 kills and a .576 attacking percentage. The set would start close, leading to a 9-9 game. From there Neumann would find themselves with 13-9 and then 17-11 leads. In the end. Neumann took the set 25-18.

The Crimson Eagles seemed to run out of steam at the end as they headed into the 4th set. It looked promising early on, as PBU jumped out to a 4-1 lead only to fall behind 5-6. The Crimson Eagles wouldn't see the lead again and eventually fell 14-25.

Neumann's Cecily Scavicchio would help out Natalie George, and her 22 kills, with 50 assists. PBU's Erin Greenwood had 33 assists. Greenwood would also have 10 digs along with teammate Erika Catalano.

PBU falls to16-12 and 6-4.

PBU takes on Philadelphia University tomorrow at 7pm. The match is at Philadelphia Univ.
