Tennis Squad Stunted by Marywood

Marywood University handed the women's tennis team their worst loss of the year Thursday afternoon as the Pacers steamrolled past the Crimson Eagles, 8-1.

Katelynn Wilson finished as the only winner on the afternoon for the host group as the junior number one singles player collected her eighth consecutive triumph of the year in the top slot. Wilson overwhelmed Pacer Kara Hoft by a final margin of 6-4, 6-3.

The Crimson Eagles were swept during doubles action and failed to capture at least two victories during a single match for the first time since late last season.

Marywood University, a postseason team a year ago, collected their third consecutive triumph following Thursday's affair.

PBU falls to 3-5 on the year while the Pacers move to 6-2.

The Crimson Eagles will return to the court this Saturday, heading to the College of Notre Dame for a match with the Gators at 2:00 pm.
