LANGHORNE, PA - The women's tennis team dropped a 6-2 decision to Cedar Crest College Wednesday afternoon as the Falcons handed PBU their third consecutive loss.
The Crimson Eagles were swept in doubles action and only faired slightly better during singles play, taking two out of five individual contests throughout the afternoon.
"We had had opportunities in a lot of different areas today but for whatever reason were unable to covert the win," noted head coach Ken Wilson.
Katleynn Wilson continued her dominance at the number one singles position, defeating Falcon Sarah Wicks 6-3, 6-1. PBU's only other triumph on the day came in the form of a 7-6, 6-0 victory from the fifth spot as Rebecca Hardman trumped Nina Colangeli to move to 4-1 during individuals play on the year.
"Wilson and Hardman continue to hold us up," Wilson continued. "Wilson played a sound game today despite dealing with an injury and Hardman floundered early but showed determination by pulling out a tie break win after overcoming a five point lead."
PBU slips to 2-3 on the year following Wednesday's loss.
The team will return to the court on Saturday for an away tilt with Keystone College at 1:00 pm.
