Lancaster Bible Locks Down PBU

Box Score

LANGHORNE, PA -
Lancaster Bible College put the clamp down on the defensive end against PBU Saturday afternoon, limiting the Crimson Eagles to a 27.9 shooting clip during a 63-41 Charger victory in the Mason Activity Center.

The visitors allowed just eight PBU first half field goals and built up a 31-18 edge by the time the initial 20 minutes had expired, utilizing 14 Crimson Eagle opening period turnovers to help manufacture the edge.

Despite 19 offensive rebounds from the host group, Lancaster's pressure on the defensive side was enough to combat PBU's work on the glass as the Chargers converted 23 points off of 27 Crimson Eagle miscues, holding a nine point edge in the category.

Perhaps the most glaring stat of the day, however, was the discrepancy from the free throw line. Lancaster knocked down 14 of 18 attempts for the game while PBU finished just four of eight.

The host squad received contributions in the scoring column from all eight players on the team, led by Dani Bradley-Wilson's double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds. Rookie Haley Weber added nine, connecting on three out of five triples in 38 minutes of action.

PBU drops to 1-8 following the loss while the Chargers move to 3-5 on the year.

The Crimson Eagles will take an extended break from game action, playing in their next contest in the new year against Penn State Brandywine on January 8th. The road contest will start at 1:00 pm.
