Box Score
LANGHORNE, PA - The women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to visiting Neumann University late Wednesday evening as the Knights triumphed by scores of 25-11, 22-25, 25-17, 25-16.
Following a sub-par opening set, the Crimson Eagles responded with 16 spikes in the second frame to help even the score at one-apiece.
However, PBU's short live momentum would be stifled by a -.048 hitting clip over the final two games as Neumann collected their fourth CSAC victory of the year. The visiting Knights also used nine team blocks and a 44-36 edge in total kills to help the group to their fifth win over their last six matches.
The Crimson Eagles were paced by Carly Plank's numbers of 19 kills and 11 digs and Rachel Calderon added 10 kills and 19 digs. Erika Catalano chipped in with 13 digs and Rebekah Morrison added 30 assists throughout the night.
PBU falls to 8-11 on the year while Neumann improves to 9-11 overall.
The volleyball team will get back into action on Saturday when the group heads to Scranton, PA for a date with Baptist Bible College at 11:00 am.
