Cabrini Cools off Crimson Eagles

LANGHORNE, PA - Following a season-long five match winning streak that included a 3-0 defeat of Valley Forge Christian College early Saturday morning, the Crimson Eagles were toppled by Cabrini College, 3-0.

The Crimson Eagles handled Valley Forge in the first match of the morning with relative ease, bursting past the Patriots en route to their fifth straight sweep and seventh of the year.

But PBU's hot play would soon be stifled Saturday afternoon as the group was upended by Cabrini College. The Cavaliers - who currently sit perched atop the conference standings - churned out a .275 hitting percentage during the 25-20, 25-18, 25-18 triumph.

With the loss the Crimson Eagles fall to 13-14 (5-4 CSAC). They need a win in one of their final two CSAC matches to clinch a playoff spot in the conference.

The first of those matches takes place Tuesday when the team travels to Gwynedd-Mercy for a showdown with the Griffins. Match time is at 7:00 pm.
