Cabrini Topples Tennis Team, 8-1

Box Score

LANGHORNE, PA
- Playing in their second match in as many days, the Crimson Eagles dropped an 8-1 decision to Cabrini College Wednesday afternoon.

Cabrini claimed wins in all three doubles slots and managed five out of six triumphs during singles play. Hannah Maddox was PBU's only player able to manage a victory as the freshman out of Staten Island eked out a nail-biter, overcoming Cabrini's Kourtney Spak by the slim margin of 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (10-8).

It would turn out to be the Crimson Eagles' only win of the afternoon, as sophomore Katelynn Wilson - playing in the top spot - lost for just the fourth time this year in singles action. Wilson extended the match to three games but ultimately succumbed 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (11-9).

PBU drops to 3-7 with the defeat while Cabrini moves to 2-9 on the year.

The tennis squad will get back into action this Saturday when the team hosts Penn State Berks in non-conference action at noon.
