Mullen Drops 1,000th Career Point in Road Loss

Box Score

ALLENTOWN, PA - Despite a game high 23 points from Summer Mullen that included the senior guard's 1,000 career point late in the opening half, the Crimson Eagles couldn't overcome a 46-23 rebounding discrepancy as Cedar Crest matched the most wins in program history during Monday's 81-63 triumph.

In what has been a constant struggle for the undersized Crimson Eagles throughout the majority of the year, PBU once again was pounded on the glass Monday night by a taller and stronger Falcon group. Cedar Crest also enjoyed an efficient shooting night, as the Falcons hit 49.1 percent of their attempts for the game including a six of 11 effort from beyond the arc.

Despite five lead changes through the first five minutes of play, Cedar Crest began a run midway through the first half that would help the host squad generate a 15 point halftime lead. Struggling to get stops on the defensive end, PBU could only watch as the Falcons shots 54.5 percent from the floor in the second stanza to help Cedar Crest capture their 13th win of the season - tying a program record.

Mullen led all scorers with 23 points that included a highly impressive seven for 14 mark from long range. Dani Norton was the only other player in double figures adding 20 for the night.

The Crimson Eagles will play in their last nonconference contest of the season this Wednesday when the group heads to Eastern University to take on the Eagles at 7:00 pm.
