READING, PA - The Crimson Eagles were blanked for just the fourth time this season Thursday afternoon against Alvernia University in what marks PBU's final non-conference outing of the year.

The Crusaders opened up the day by surviving a 10-3 tiebreaker to triumph at the number one doubles position over the PBU tandem of Katelynn Wilson and Liz Stafford, and from there it was all downhill for the visitors.

The Crimson Eagles would fall 2-8 at the second doubles spot and would be tripped up 1-8 in the third slot before succumbing in all six singles matches.

PBU drops to 3-9 on the year with the loss.

With just two regular season outings remaining, the tennis squad will head to Rosemont College on Saturday to go up against the Ramblers at 1:00 pm.
