Box Score

LANGHORNE, PA - The Crimson Eagles came up short at home Saturday afternoon dropping a 6-3 decision to Penn State Berks in non-conference action.

PBU's top three players found the winning column during singles play but it would be all the Crimson Eagles would be able to muster against the Nittany Lions on homecoming weekend.

Katelyn Wilson would manage her team leading seventh singles win of the season after grinding out an 8-5 triumph over Penn State Berks' Amy Kemble in the top spot. Liz Stafford would manage an 8-3 win in the second slot and Jocelyn Palmer would collect an 8-4 triumph in the third position.

Hannah Maddox, playing in the fourth spot for PBU, would lose in a nail-biter, 7-9, while Tara Munro would drop a 5-8 decision in the fifth singles position. Rachel Nelson was upended 0-6, 2-6 in the final spot for the Crimson Eagles.

Penn State Berks would sweep doubles action, dropping PBU by scores of 8-4, 8-6, and 8-2.

The Crimson Eagles slip to 3-7 on the year with the defeat while Penn State Berks improves to 2-3.

With just four regular season contests remaining, the tennis team will host their third straight match in Langhorne on Tuesday, going up against Baptist bible College at 3:30 pm.
