PBU Dusts Off Immaculata

Box Score

LANGHORNE, PA
- Having gotten tripped up in four of five matches over the past two weeks, the Crimson Eagles have officially gotten back on track.

The volleyball team rolled to their third straight 3-0 sweep Wednesday afternoon, this time overpowering Immaculata University with their best hitting percentage of the year. PBU connected at a .366 clip for the match and racked up 38 kills en route to a 25-11, 25-22, 25-14 win over the Mighty Macs.

The Crimson Eagles plastered 13 kills in 23 attempts during the opening set, collecting just a solo error on their way to a .522 hitting percentage and a 14 point win to kick things off. Although Immaculata would show heart in the second game, pushing the score to 25-22, PBU would once again overcome the Might Macs thanks, in part, to eight services aces for the night.

Betsy Ranck would end the evening with 20 assists, and Carly Plank would post a game high count of 15 kills. Lindsay Dager would add nine spikes on a .412 hitting percentage and Rachel Calderon would chip in with 12 digs. Khloe Keener would provide a half of PBU's eight aces on the night.

The Crimson Eagles move to 14-10 on the year while boosting their CSAC record to 6-2 overall. Immaculata drops to 4-12 for the season.

PBU will hit the road on Saturday for a tri-match at Neumann University. The Crimson Eagles will go up against the host squad at 1:00 pm and will follow-up with a 3:00 pm meeting against Centenary College.
