Moravian Deals Volleyball Squad 3-1 Loss

LANGHORNE, PA – Despite a game and career high 14 kills from Philadelphia Biblical rookie middle hitter Rebekah Morrison, the Crimson Eagles fell to visiting Moravian College in non-conference action Tuesday night.

 

The Greyhounds had just one blip-up on the evening – a 25-21 loss in set two – but by and large had their way with PBU, running through the host squad in four games by scores of 25-17, 21-25, 26-24, 25-12.

 

Senior Becky Williams tallied a team high 23 digs to go with nine kills in the loss and junior setter Betsy Ranck chipped in 33 assists, 10 digs, and three aces. Sophomore Carly Plank added 10 digs and eight kills, while junior Kay Lynn Zeiset and senior Katy Kutzner contributed 14 and eight defensive saves, respectively.

 

The loss drops PBU’s overall record to 10-6 while Moravian improves to 7-8.

 

On Thursday, PBU will head to Lancaster for a tri-match, going up first against host Lancaster Bible College (5-9) at 4:00 pm. The Crimson Eagles will follow up with a 6:00 pm meeting against Valley Forge Christian College (2-6).
