ST DAVIDS, PA – Playing an Eastern University squad that features no seniors, six underclassmen, and just two juniors, the Crimson Eagles found out the Eagles play much more experienced than they may first appear on paper.

Eastern had their way with PBU in all but one game early Thursday afternoon, as freshman Katelynn Wilson once again managed the only win on the afternoon for the visiting squad.

Wilson topped Eastern's Rebekkah Roland in a dramatic come from behind victory at the number one singles spot, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6. It marks her second consecutive victory in singles action, and gives the rookie three wins in her last four matches – accounting for all three of PBU’s victories so far this season.

In doubles play, the combination of senior Laura Wronksi and Jocelyn Palmer was enough to keep the tandem close, but the duo ultimately fell 8-4 to Eastern’s Lindsey Leh and Maria Shrefler.

The loss drops PBU’s overall record to 0-5 on the year, while Eastern improves to 3-1 overall.

On Saturday the tennis team will wrap up their week by hosting conference foe Marywood University (1-2) at 1:00 pm.
