Box Score

LANGHORNE, PA - Rosemont College managed an 8-1 victory over the Crimson Eagles Thursday afternoon in Langhorne but couldn't keep junior Jocelyn Palmer from cruising to her first win of the year in solos action during a 6-1, 6-1 rout.

Palmer glided through Rosemont's Jessica Williams with relative ease, putting things away early to help the host squad record their only stroke in the winning column on the day. The win victory marks PBU's first win in singles action on the year minus freshman Katelynn Wilson's three triumphs thus far.

Despite the overall 8-1 defeat, the Crimson Eagles managed to keep things relatively close in two of three doubles matches. Jen Friedman and Bethany McCormick pushed the doubles tandem of Jessica Williams and Rebecca Zimmerman to a battle to the wire, with the Crimson Eagle duo eventually surrendering by a count of 8-6. Danielle Hirsch and Jennifer Rosol dropped an 8-4 decision to the Rosemont combo of Eleanor Monahan and Cassandra Cuadro.

PBU slips to 0-8 with the loss while the Ramblers move to 5-7 on the year.

On Saturday, PBU will close out a busy three match week by hosting Lancaster Bible College in nonconference action at 11:30 am during the Crimson Celebration. In their first season of competition, the Chargers currently sit at 1-7 overall, with their single win of the year coming against in a 5-4 victory over Lincoln University.
