ASTON, PA - Coming into Wednesday night, there was only one thing that anyone could confidently predict. There would be just one undefeated squad left in the CSAC following the highly anticipated PBU – Neumann brawl.
In the battle of unbeatens, the Knights pulled off a 3-0 win in shutout fashion against the Crimson Eagles, overwhelming the visitors by scores of 25-18, 25-17, and 25-21.
Despite an 8-1 edge in service aces, PBU was limited to their second lowest hitting percentage of the year in the loss and managed just 22 total team kills.
Incredibly, senior Becky Williams produced 15 of those kills, finishing as the only player on the Crimson Eagle roster to finish with a positive hitting percentage.
The loss gives PBU their first in conference play as PBU slips to 7-1 in CSAC action while Neumann remains a perfect 8-0.
The Crimson Eagles will host their last regular season conference contest this Saturday when the group takes on Cabrini College in the Mason Activity Center at 12:30 pm.
