ALLENTOWN, PA - Doing their best to keep their undefeated conference record intact spanning the last two years, the Crimson Eagles once again made sure to take care of business as usual Thursday night, running through CSAC foe Cedar Crest College by scores of 25-22, 25-16, and 25-22.
The win marks PBU's third straight since joining the CSAC earlier this year and their 15th straight conference triumph encompassing the last two-plus seasons in NEAC competition. Their last conference loss - which came in NEAC play at the hands of then-called Villa Julie College (now Stevenson University) - was back on October 14 of the '06 season.
On Tuesday, PBU managed their 14th win of the season, knocking out a Cedar Crest squad that is winless in conference action. The Falcons are 4-15 on the year.
"I thought we played really well tonight," said head coach Julie Brubaker. "Rebekah Morrison had a solid night, she is really beginning to own the middle position. Serving was a strong point for us throughout the whole night., and we had pretty good play all the way around."
On Saturday PBU will go up against Messiah College (8-4) in the Mason Activity Center at 11:00 am during the Crimson Celebration. The Falcons overcame the Crimson Eagles 3-0 a year ago.
