Beck compiled a .500 (13-for-26) batting average over eight games in Cairn’s spring break trip in Little River, South Carolina this past week. The senior led Cairn offensively in their season-opening victory over Mount Saint Vincent, going three-for-four with two runs, two RBI’s and two extra-base hits in an 11-4 victory. Beck also pitched 8.1 innings in the circle for Cairn in three games, throwing two scoreless innings against McDaniel on Thursday, and tossing three innings of one-run ball against Curry on Friday.
