Aston, PA – Cairn University landed five women's soccer players on this year's Colonial States Athletic Conference end of season awards.
Meghan Wilson (New Hope, PA/New Hope-Solebury) was awarded 1st-Team honors,
Alicia Geistdorfer (Perkiomenville, PA/Christopher Dock) and
Hannah Morrison (Fayetteville, NC/Village Christian) earned 2nd-Team honors, and
Mackenzie Paugh (Galloway, NJ/Absegami ) and
Laurisa Wager (Victor, NY/Homeschool) were awarded Honorable Mention honors.
Wilson made it to the 1st-Team this season after a spectacular performance of scoring 18 goals and collecting six assists. With 42 total points, Wilson led the CSAC in points and tied for the lead in goals scored.
Geistdorfer earned her 2nd-Team performance after a great season from the midfield with seven assists, which was good for third in the conference. Geistdorfer also scored seven goals for the Highlanders to tie for second on the team in goals.
Morrison also landed on the 2nd-Team as a defender for the Highlanders and scored three goals with one assist. Morrison was instrumental from the defensive line for the Highlanders this season and earned one Defensive Player of the Week award.
Wager found her way onto the Honorable Mention Team with her performace from the midfield of two goals and four assists. Paugh was also named to the Honorable Mention Team after making 129 saves this season and a goals-against average of 2.76. Paugh also earned one Defensive Player of the Week award this season.
